
Adapting to Mlearning Demands in Higher Education
This paper addresses the demand for mobile learning, or mlearning technologies, in the higher education classroom, challenges confronting this demand, and suggestions for overcoming these challenges. The effectiveness of mlearning creates a compelling story for the wide-spread adoption of this delivery system.

Context
For academic purposes, we were asked to consider an emerging trend or issue related to teaching and learning in the online classroom.
Action
With the growing demands of technology, there is a need for instructors to better integrate mlearning into their classrooms. This paper focuses on mlearning, an underutilized learning delivery system in higher education.
Results
This paper discusses the numerous challenges confronting mlearning, including technical and pedagogical challenges, as well as challenges related to teacher-training and the individual learner. Suggestions for how to overcome these challenges are presented. The effectiveness of mlearning implementation is also presented, providing evidence of the importance of wide-spread adaption of mlearning technologies. The positive effects show that with proper implementation, students achieve higher learning outcomes, satisfaction, and motivation to learn.
